6. Uroginekološka šola: Tečaj uroginekološke anatomije
Dear colleagues, dear friends,
we are delighted to invite you to our 6th School of Urogynecology: Interactive Urogynecological Anatomy Course, that will be held at Faculty of Medicine, University of Maribor, Slovenia on February 3rd, 2026. The course will be organised by Department for General Gynecology and Gynecological Urology, Clinic for Gynecology and Perinatology, University Medical Centre Maribor, Slovenia, and Institute for Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, University of Maribor, Slovenia.
During the course, the participants will learn about anatomy of retroperitoneum and pelvic floor, get familiar with anatomy behind urogynecological surgical procedures and strenghten their knowledge through virtual anatomy tables and cadaveric demonstration. The course is suitable for (uro)gynecologists as well as obstetrics and gynecology trainees. We will cover the following topics:
- Anatomy of anterior abdominal wall
- Retroperitoneum
- Medial retroperitoneal spaces
- Lateral retroperitoneal spaces
- Anatomy of sacral promontory, pectineal ligament, and their clinical implications
- Pelvic floor anatomy
- Anatomy of obturator membrane
- Clinical implications for surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence and surgical procedures involving sacrospinous ligament
- Clinical anatomy of obstetric perineal trauma
In order to ensure high quality of the course, the number of participants is limited to 20.
After two very successful anatomical courses, we decided to conduct a third one in English to enable participation to our colleagues from abroad. Enclosed please find more information about the course.
